Seems to be a completely dry bulb, but just put it in a small container full of warm water and.....it becomes as green and vigorous as the one you see in the photo.
Originating in the desert (Anastatica Hierochuntica), this plant is also known as the plant of the resurrection.
It closes up like a porcupine when there is no water, but opens and becomes verdantly green when it comes back into contact with water.
The plant can be allowed to dry up again, reopening as soon as the water source is restored! Purifies the air and absorbs smoke.
The plant''s shade of green depends on the humidity in the air: the more humidity there is in the air, the greener the plant will become. |
